As we come to the conclusion of another marching band season, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your continued support of our program over the years. Although the students have put in many hours to prepare for the tournaments, you as parents are to be commended for bringing them to and from rehearsals as well as being there at the performances to support the band. I know that I speak on behalf of all of the students and cannot thank you enough for all that you do.
A special thank you goes out to all of the numerous parents who graciously gave up their free time to assist us with our meals, rehearsals, and performances. Your time and commitment is unwavering and I truly appreciate everything that you all have done.

Perseverance - They all bear the brunt of hot Sunday rehearsals and Wednesday/Thursday evenings after a long day of classes.
Responsibility - In order to attain their goals, each student must be responsible for his/her performance and preparation of drill and music.
Integrity - As a member of the marching band, Mr. Abe holds you to the highest of standards...you are representing not only your school but your family and community as well.
Dedication - They all strive to be the best they can be and commit themselves to each other.
Enthusiasm - You are here because you want to be here...enjoy every moment and have fun in the process.
All of this leads up to what we end our practices with PRIDE!!! It is hard to describe the emotions that these students go through during the season because there are times when the frustration level sets in because they know it has to be done a certain way but they hit a roadblock. However, with the guidance of the upperclassmen, they somehow always seem to pull it out right when it counts the most.
I would like to think that we have left our mark on the marching band scene here in Hawai'i and brought pride and honor to our school and community. Thank you again for all of your support throughout the years.
