Nov. 1 - Kamehameha Nov. 3 - Oahu Marching Festival Nov. 8 - Kapolei Nov. 10 - Rainbow (UH) Nov. 15 - Mililani Save May 10, 2014 for the 2014 Aloha Concert 5:30 pm at the Roosevelt High School Carter Auditorium. Marching Band Uniform Fitting will be on Sunday, March 9. Please report between 10:00 a.m. - NOON!
9th Grade: February 3, 2014 @ 6:30 pm in the RHS Bandroom
All incoming 9th graders (Class of 2018) from our feeder middle schools and to those students who are interested in coming to Roosevelt High School on a GE (geographical exemption) and plan to participate in the music program, please come to an informational meeting regarding the RHS Music Department. Hear about the opportunities that await students who want to be a part of the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Concert Orchestra, Symphonic Orchestra, and Marching Band. Also meet some of the band booster parents who can share some of the parental involvement and help that is necessary to help make the muscial experiences for our students possible. In addition to music making, other aspects of the RHS music program help to nurture and develop students such as service projects, competitions, camps, social events, and more. Marching Band: February 24 2014 @ 6:30 pm in the RHS Bandroom All incoming 9th AND upperclassmen who are NEW or first time marching band participants....There will be an informational meeting to hear and learn about what extra time and involvement is needed to be a marching band student. Although the majority of the practice and events will be outside of school time, there is so much fun and dedication on the part of the students and their families, that it is truly a wonderful program and experience to be a part of. If you are not sure of what your interests may be in high school, marching band is a good place to start and meet new people As mentioned at the Winter Concert, we will be having a GOLD and METAL Fundraiser. Bring your unwanted chains, jewelry, teeth, mis-matched earrings, silver spoons, coins, etc... Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm @ the RHS Bandroom It’s easy! Here’s how it works: • Bring your unwanted, broken or damaged gold, silver and platinum jewelry, coins, sterling silverware, dental gold, diamonds and fine watches. • Representatives from Hawaiian Precious Metals will test and assess the value of your item. • If you decide to sell, you will receive CASH on the spot! A very big MAHALO to our music parents and families for donating baked goods, chili, and andagi to the sales! The monies raised will surely help with the upcoming day camps, festival fees, and busses for both the orchestra and band students. Special thank yous to the fundraising committee, the music booster, and the parent volunteers for manning the concession sales and production of andagi, shaved ice, chili bowls, and fresh popcorn!
