The 2014 Parade of Orchestras will be held on Friday, April 18 at the Pearl City High School Cultural Center. The Concert orchestra is scheduled to perform at 2:00 pm. They will need to report at the auditorium no later than 1:00 pm for their warm-up. The symphony orchestra will be performing at 4:00 pm and will need to report no later than 3:00 pm. Please be on time because they are giving us only 1/2 hour to warm-up.
Tonight, Roosevelt High School Music Department is hosting the OBDA Parade of Bands. 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm @ the RHS Carter Auditorium. Participating schools include: Washington Middle School, St. Louis High School, St. Andrew's Priory School and the Roosevelt Concert and Symphonic Bands. Good luck to all the bands performing tonight.
Reminder to all, there will be light refreshments sold for all students and parents who attend. Proceeds will support the Music Department. A very big MAHALO to our music parents and families for donating baked goods, chili, and andagi to the sales! The monies raised will surely help with the upcoming day camps, festival fees, and busses for both the orchestra and band students. Special thank yous to the fundraising committee, the music booster, and the parent volunteers for manning the concession sales and production of andagi, shaved ice, chili bowls, and fresh popcorn! We can't do it without all your help! "It takes an entire village to educate a child!" We are fortunate we belong to the same village! THANK YOU again!!! Congratulations to Jamie & Sarah!!! They were selected to perform with the Carnegie Hall Honors Series Orchestra. Off to New York in February.
Students who have requested to use a school instrument are requested to fill out an instrument loan form and have all accessory items BEFORE they are issued their instrument. All accessory items must be ordered by Friday, August 10 with Mr. Abe. Checks are made payable to Gregg Abe. If paying with cash, please have exact amount.
